ISOLFONDO

It is a biocompatible, pre-packaged insulating lightweight subbase in powder form for interior and exterior use.

ISOLFONDO is free of cement or compounds belonging to the clinker group. It consists of a mixture of pure expanded mineral sands of low specific weight, screened with a continuous grain size range from 0 to 5 mm. The only binder included is Pure Natural Hydraulic Lime NHL 5 in accordance with UNI EN 459-1. NHL 5 lime, white in colour, is produced by firing siliceous limestones at temperatures below 1,250° C and reduced to powder by the extinguishing of calcium oxide alone, without the addition of pozzolanic materials or hydraulic binders of any kind.

Fields of application

ISOLFONDO is specifically designed for the formation of insulating lightweight subbases for new and old structures, for low and high thicknesses of 3 to 15 cm and more. Easily workable with the techniques traditionally used in laying subbases.
ISOLFONDO is used to create the layer between the floor slab and the floor for load distribution, for levelling floors and as a plant cover. Recommended as a subbase for the installation of radiant floor heating systems. Excellent for filling vaulted structures and backfills.
